Discovery and description of a new species of frog named Microhyla laterite.

It is found in laterite wetlands in South India which are classified as wastelands due to being infertile but are hosts to a variety of lifeforms. The publication has brought attention to their ecological significance along with being a model for citizen science initiatives.
